Should I plant shrubs and trees in a Canberra Winter?
At Professional Plant Supplies we recommend planting 12 months of the year.
If the plants are tough and not affected by frost and cold then go straight ahead. There won’t be any growth until Spring but at least they will be ready to grow once the soil warms up.
If the plants are frost hardy but not yet acclimatised, it is a good idea to either protect them in the first Winter (by covering with large pots or other methods or planting in a protected position) or wait until September/October and plant then.
